Hello, I'm Billy
I joined the Orchard Clinic in 2024 and completed my osteopathy training at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) completing a Master's in Osteopathy and completing specialist training in treating paediatric patients in the ESO paediatric clinic.
What made you want to be an osteopath?
Having suffered with low back pain throughout my early 20’s, I began to explore the common causes of back pain and why it occurs. This led me to my first experience with Osteopathy as a patient, the treatment provided much needed relief of my discomfort but more importantly the osteopath was able to explain the cause of my pain. This inspired me to want to help others in the same way, leading to a change of profession into the healthcare sector as an osteopath.
What strengths or skill set do you have as an osteopath?
I work with the general population, seeing a wide range of conditions and treating patients of all ages. Having personally suffered with low back pain for many years, this is an area I have studied in depth and see often in my osteopathic practice. I also enjoy working with patients in the management of their osteoarthritic aches and pains. As well as treating infants with paediatric Osteopathy. Treatment usually involves a variety of hands-on techniques as well as some exercise prescription. I also use cranial osteopathy which is ideal for acute patients, children and babies.
What do you enjoy outside of life as an ostepath?
Outside of my work as an osteopath I like to keep myself fit and healthy, with a keen interest in cycling. I also enjoy spending time going for walks and adventures with family and friends.
